![]() 2008 Sunday Service at the Fair! Our God is
truly an awesome God!
July 20, 2008 The Tippecaone County Fair is always a great experience with lots of fun, food and excitement. This year is no exception. The church took their annual "Sunday Service at the Fair" to the tent and not only did a great crowd show up, but God was there with His blessings. The first notes of praise lifted spirits as Jeremy Brubaker and the Praise Band called the tent to give God praise with "Forever", an inspirational worship anthem. Hands and hearts were raised to the heavens and voices rang out with love for the Savior. The Kingdom Voices kids' choir brought their offering of praise too. For a few minutes, the tent was nearly silent as the childrens' soft voices sang of God's love to us and our praise to Him. After a few more group songs, the adult choir, led by John Cones, blessed the congregation with "Grace Will Always Be Greater", featuring a solo by Missy Cornell. The music and the message filled hearts with gratitude and love for Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice and victory over death and sin, gives anyone the power to become a child of God. ![]() It's A R.I.O.T.! The youth group, R.I.O.T. (Righteous Invasion Of Truth), presented a dramatic interpretive dance. The story, set to music, clearly demonstrated God's grace, sacrifice and redemption. Jesus took the punishment for our sins. He's the one who suffered because of our wrong choices. Jesus took the beatings that were meant to punish our guilt. It's only by His intervention that we are free! (More pictures and video to come. If you weren't at the fair, check the calendar for more presentations of this powerful gospel event.) Pastor Vauters, always a channel of God's message to us, greeted the crowd with enthusiasm and open arms. He poured out God's grace to those who had gathered as he shared God's truths from the Scriptures. The message of grace, forgiveness and restoration touched every heart and tears flowed freely as God's love filled the tent and His Spirit moved in every soul. His call to action was, and continues to be, a call to obedience to the calling of God in every life. For the Christian, it means service to the King. For the lost, it means believing that Jesus is the Savior and following Him. ![]() If you're not sure about your relationship with God, feel free to contact Pastor Vauters at the church office. What Must I Do To Be Saved? The service
ended too soon. When the fellowship is this good, you never want it to
end. That's what we're looking forward to in heaven - eternal
fellowship and joy in the presence of God.
Please join
us every Sunday as we worship in our "regular" building. We would love
to meet you!
As for the
fair, we're sorry it's over, but we'll see you there next year!
